MIJARC World Coordination met in Lusaka, Zambia

This year, MIJARC World Coordination has met twice! On the 7th and 8th of October, the world coordinators of MIJARC have gathered to prepare the World GA topics and follow-up on the Committees and Commissions work. On the 18th of October, after the seminar and the World GA the World Coordination met again to follow-up the decisions taken in the GA and to proceed with its tasks. Many important outcomes resulted from this meeting that we are happy to give you notice of:
- Biswanath Borgoyary from India was adopted as new World Coordinator from Asia, replacing Anil Jose until 2016;
- Ana Silva from Portugal was adopted as new World Coordinator from Europe, replacing Anna Caryk until 2016;
- Krishnakar Kummari from India was co-opted as President of MIJARC World until next World Coordination physical meeting in 2015;
- The percentages of distribution of the Solidarity Fund 2013 were agreed upon;
- Despite the decision by the World GA to stop the work of the Commissions at World level, the World Coordination decided to set up a new commission on the broad topic of Food Sovereignty with a reformulated structure: 2 people from each continent + 1 World Team member who follows-up the work of the commission and one Chairperson;
- The following committees are in place so support the work of MIJARC World: Financial Committee, Soli Committee, House Committee and Statutes Committee.
