WORLD DAY FOR GRANDPARENTS AND ELDERLY - WEBINAR

1) Prayer
Opening Prayer was said by Miss.Paulin (Former Asian Coordinator – Tamilnadu). That was the
beautiful beginning of our Webinar.
2) Welcome words
Miss.Ruffina – Asian Coordinator requested our World President Dr. Krishnakar Kummari to
welcome the participants for the webinar. He used more grateful words to welcome Our
webinar’s chief guest Fr. Jerosin kattar, Asian Coordinators, All National Coordinators, All our
Former MIJARC Coordinators from different States and the Participants from different places.
3)Introduction about Main Speaker
Miss.Ruffina – Asian Coordinator introduced our main speaker Fr. Jerosin and given a brief
history about him, His qualification, religious services on parish level and country level, his
important field work done through MIJARC Asia. Then Miss.Ruffina opened the floor to Father
for his Speech.
FATHER’S SPEECH
Fr. Jerosin kattar was our Former Asian Chaplin. Father have spoken and explained some
important points based on our Webinar’s topic "World Day for Grandparents and Elderly". He
compared every situation and every word of his points with his own life experience. That was one of the amazing sharing on that occasion. Then he given so much of
ideas, reflection about the elder people. He encouraged all of us with his inspiring quotes. Most
of the Examples he has taken from our religious based, according to our Catholic procedure and
with the Bible quotes. It was such a wonderful experience to all of us.
4) Question session
We opened the floor for Questions. Some of our National Coordinators asked some valuable
questions to father about Elderly people. Like
*Mr. VENKAT (Andhra-Telangana coordinator) asked, The Elder people sometimes not
understanding the situation, in that case how can we Convince them?
*Mr. PRAFUL (Asian coordinator) asked, How Youth can understand the Mentality of
Grandparents and Elder people?
*Mrs.DELIN (Kerala coordinator) asked, how we can give awareness to the families to keep
their Grandparents with them instead of sending to Old-age home? And why now a days the
Old-age homes are increasing?
Then Father cleared all their doubts and given answers for all their Questions. It was so Lively.
Everybody felt very happy, and Father also felt very happy to come for this beautiful Webinar.
5) Sharing Experience
Some of our National Coordinators shared their own experience with all of us. Our President Dr.
Krishnakar Kummari displayed his own Grandmother’s photo on screen and shared a few
sentences of his sweet memories about her. Then Mr. Venkat (Andhra-Telangana coordinator)
displayed his own Grandmother lively on the screen in the Webinar. All were happy to see her
with Venkat. It was the ULTIMATE and UNEXPECTED moment on that day. So many unexpected
surprise were present in this Webinar.
6) Action plan
As per our Agenda, then we moved on to our Future Action plan, Like What are the activities we
are going to do through this gathering on this Grandparents Day Webinar. All our coordinators
have given their valuable suggestions. Then finally we have taken some important points from
all coordinators.
Three important Action plan for our Implementation, are
*Visiting Old-age home near to our Native.
*Visiting old people and elder people in or around our own house and Village. (We must give
important and priority to our personal Grandparents and Elder people).
*Helping them - in the public places wherever anyone wants to go, we try to help the
Grandparents and Elder people. (Railway station, Bank, Bus-stand, and Churches).
So... These are the Action plan we decided to do in our future activities.
7) Vote of Thanks
We concluded this “World Day for Grandparents and Elderly” Webinar with Vote of Thanks,
done by Mr. Praful Kumar Ekka (Asian coordinator)
8) Closing prayer
Closing prayer was said by Miss.Ferosita (North-east coordinator).
